The Tinged Series.
I recently got good news that I have been accepted into the Superheroes/Supervillains Show in Chiang Mai, Thailand @ the Look At This Gallery, it’s going to be curated by Ms. Laura Spector. Out of about a 100 or so, I was lucky enough to be one of the finalists. Both my new works “Encarne” (the oil painting in the previous post), and “Binary” (below) were accepted.

After such a long time of not having any gallery show, and the one I have been planning to for nearly a year now hasn’t happened from an unfortunate series of events, I am really looking forward to this. I hope for more to come, I just really need to keep working my ass off with painting.
I’m glad to have a boyfriend who’s really supportive. Having gotten a new job with an events agency doing brand activation and working on weekends, having to come home exhausted; he patiently waited for me (and I normally ever only see him on weekends). Even with that going on, I had to speed up the painting process by a sheer 30 hrs (a record for me in oil) or less, the painting sharing most of his supposed hangout time. All this, I also whittled/moulded away small people out of clay, wanting to have a concept photograph for the show—-which never happened thanks to the weather and both of us feeling there are other factors that aren’t working with us. Then there’s me going bonkers after losing everything I typed for the artist’s statement explaining the pieces… So thanks, Monkey. You’re friggin’ awesome. :)
Anyway, he’s out of the country, and in Thailand doing his NS (army) thing, while he reads my retarded letters filled with random doodles while he’s away. I on the other hand, have spent the supposed time together for the weekend by happily painting with my new nuke-neon paints that I scampered off to buy in the middle of work amidst a migraine-induced noon. This is one of the Tinged Series. It’s called “The White Rabbit” (not the candy—-tho I wouldn’t mind having some right now):
